Colors! Patterns! This still life collage is anything but still. It’s a large-scale work made from contemporary paper. The colors and patterns may seem random, but it actually takes quite a bit of moving paper around to get it the way that I want it.
When I made smaller collages, I used to use scrapbook paper, which is a bit low-brow, I admit, but it got the job done. Now I haunt the “decorative paper” section of art supply stores and buy large sheets of the most beautiful papers. I really love this job!
