This is a medium-sized giclée print on heavy archival matte paper.
The original is made from patterned paper, and chalk and ink-painted ledger paper from the 1880s
This is my third still life featuring cake. I don’t know what that says about me. Maybe I’m just hungry?
I truly wish you could see this one in person. The 1880s handwriting on the cake stand is so beautiful. And the pink cake is made from chalk paint on ledger paper that has the softest texture to it. Makes you want to eat it up.
